3-faced Flexagon

This little toy is a fascinating work of origami invented by Martin Gardner, a Mathematician and magician from U.S.A. These little origami toys are made form only one slip of paper and are a great way to work with equilateral triangles hands on. Hope you enjoy!

Some ideas for decorating:

  • Use the flexagon as a learning diary, where students write and draw on the faces the things they remember most from the term.

  • Use the flexagon as and encrypted messaging device. The faces could hold the secret password!

The Hexa-Flexagon

This is the same toy as before, also made from only one strip of paper, however once complete shows 6 faces rather than 3. It is AMAZING, magical in itself!
